The PlayStation blog confirms that the PlayStation Now program has almost 500 games currently active. This includes quality titles such as The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption.
The PlayStation Now service allows players to access a wide range of games for a monthly fee. As the service is based on cloud streaming technology, players don’t need to download the game to play it. All games run immediately and are even accessible on Windows PC.
Sony is also offering a free seven day trial for gamers who haven’t given the program a try yet. The seven day trial is completely free and it will only charge players after the seven day trial has ended.
While this is great news for PlayStation fans, Microsoft has recently announced a new service. The Xbox Game Pass service seems to be similar to the PS Now program and will let players download and play games for a monthly fee. You can read more about this service in our other article from last week.
Sony regularly releases new games into the PS Now platform. However, Sony confirmed that they would be dropping support for several platforms. While players with a PlayStation 4 will be able to use the platform, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita owners will no longer be able to access the program. You can read more information about this here.
