EA has released a new update for Star Wars Battlefront II, bringing a ton of balance adjustments and a couple of limited-time features to the game. Patch 1.2 is live now and has been detailed by EA’s Community Manager on the company’s forums.
One notable addition from patch 1.2 is Jetpack Cargo, a brand new game mode where players maneuver around in jetpacks and wield rocket launchers in a fast-paced battle. EA noted the mode would only be available to play for a limited time but did not give a time frame for how long players had to experience the explosive jetpack action.
Also available for a limited time are three new Hoth Appearances for Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo. The Hero Appearances will be unlockable through a series of in-game missions that will be available over time, though they can be previewed in their respective Character Customization screens now.
The Custom Arcade mode will see new locations, including Kashyyyk, Hoth, Endor, Crait, Jakku, and Death Star II. Also, all players will receive two default emotes for their Troopers instead of having to wait to unlock them.
While those are the major new additions, EA has also done a lot of work to improve the performance of many of Star Wars Battlefront II‘s characters. Classes, special units, and infantry combat have also received a lot of tweaks based on player feedback. Check out the full patch notes for all the details.
Patch 1.2 is available now for Star Wars Battlefront II on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
