Kingdom Hearts 3 is available to pre-load on your PlayStation 4 right now. If you’ve pre-purchased the game and have your PS4 settings toggled to allow background downloading, then there’s a good chance that the game will be downloaded to your console by the time you get home today. If you don’t have background downloads turned on, then you may want to go ahead and boot up your console and get the process started before Kingdom Hearts III releases on January 29.
Kingdom Hearts III will take up about 38GB of space, and typically you’re required to have even more space available on your console before you’re able to download a game, so you may have to delete a game or two if your hard drive is running short on space.
This will be especially true if you bought the Kingdom Hearts All-in-One Package, which includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III. Altogether, you’re looking at over 105GB of data, there.
Don’t forget that if you pre-purchase Kingdom Hearts III, you’re entitled to the “Impossible Odds” dynamic theme, and a PS4-exclusive “Midnight Blue” Keyblade. The dynamic theme is unlocked immediately. If you know that you’re going to be playing the game no matter what, and you have the money, then you might as well drop a few bones to get the bonuses.
