Nintendo Switch Gets Four New Games This Week

Nintendo’s continuing to keep their promise of adding games to the Switch eShop every week, and tomorrow console owners will have access to four new indie titles.

Following a delay, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is releasing tomorrow, March 17th, for $40. It includes the original game and all expansion content, which includes new enemies, items, and challenges.

The randomly generated shoot-’em-up features over 500 items and weapons, 1,000 hours of gameplay, 5 unique modes of play, 14 playable characters, and 20 professionally animated cartoon endings. Even if you played the base game, Afterbirth+ looks worth picking up.

Unlike most “Nindie” eShop titles, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will also have a physical retail version to purchase, also for $40. It comes with a full-color instruction manual, stickers, and a reversible cover. The physical copy will hit stores tomorrow.

In addition to The Binding of Isaac, the Switch eShop will be adding three games from publisher Tomorrow Corporation. Among the new titles are World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resources Machine. They cost $10 each.

World of Goo is a colorful physics-based puzzle/construction game featuring various species of Goo Balls, each with unique abilities. You can also compete in an online leaderboard to build the tallest tower of goo in World of Goo Corporation’s sandbox.

Little Inferno is an adventure game that takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace. It was nominated for a few awards at the Independent Games Festival and prides itself on being 100% indie–it was made by only three guys.

Lastly, Human Resources Machine has players tackle a bit of programming to solve puzzles in an office setting. The programming is nothing difficult, but if you’re proficient in programming, the game will have more challenges for you.

While none of these titles are brand spanking new, they’re all solid indie games worth checking out.
