September 2017 Games with Gold announced

As expected, Microsoft has announced the next group of games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. They will be replacing the ones currently available for free download at the usual times this upcoming month.

Here are the games and times for the September 2017 edition of Games with Gold:

Xbox One

Trials Fusion : August 16 – September 16
Forza Motorsports 5: Game of the Year Edition : September 1 – 30th
Oxenfree : September 16 – October 15

Xbox 360

Hydro Thunder Hurricane : September 1 – 15
Battlefield 3 : September 16 – 30

Including Forza Motorsports 5 might seem like an odd choice considering the next game releases in October but this may be a very good thing. It allows gamers to test a Forza Motorsports game for themselves to see if they’d like to get the latest addition to the series. It almost works like a free ‘demo’ except, the Games with Gold game is fully unlocked and there are no limitations in place.

Trials Fusion from last moth is still available for download but will be leaving mid-month. It will be replaced by the point and click horror game Oxenfree. Which may be a great way to start a spooky Halloween month or for anyone looking to collect some horror games to play on the big day.

For Xbox 360, owners can download the boat racing game Hydro Thunder Hurricane. It received pretty good reviews so it should be worth checking out. In addition to this, Battlefield 3 is also being included next month. This game is thought to be one of the best Battlefield games to ever be released thanks to the high review scores it was given. So anyone with an Xbox 360 should grab this game once it becomes available later in September.

The current Games with Gold games will be available until the end of the month. So if you still haven’t picked them up then you should do so before time runs out.
