April’s free games for Xbox Live Gold members have been revealed by Microsoft today.
Next month, the Games With Gold lineup will feature titles from a couple major series, and they’re all pretty heavy on the killing. We approve.
Ryse: Son of Rome will be free the whole month of April on Xbox One. You’ll play as a Roman soldier on a revenge and war path in the third-person hack-and-slash from Crytek.
For the second half of April, you can download The Walking Dead: Season Two in its entirety on Xbox One. As you probably know already—from the title at the very least—it’s a zombie apocalypse survival game. It’s heavily story-driven, and your choices impact many aspects of the gameplay.
As for 360 titles, Darksiders will be free to download April 1st– 15th. In this action-RPG, you’ll play in a post-apocalyptic Earth fighting angels and demons and who knows what else.
Finally, get Assassin’s Creed Revelations for free the second half of April on the 360. Ezio follows in the footsteps of the original game’s master assassin through Constantinople, Cappadocia, and Masyaf. Get ready to put your hay-diving pants on.
Both 360 titles will also be available for free on Xbox One through Backwards Compatibility.
Check the list below for download links, original prices, and dates for all of April’s Games With Gold.
For now, you can still download some of March’s free Games With Gold. Multiplayer shooter Evolve and horror title Layers of Fear are free on Xbox One, while 360 owners can get Heavy Weapon free of charge until the end of the month.
